NEW Exploring Program for 2026!
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management Exploring Program offers high school students a unique, hands-on opportunity to explore careers in emergency management, public safety, and disaster response. Through interactive training, real-world scenarios, and mentorship from professionals with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management Office, participants gain insight into how communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies. Explorers will build leadership skills, strengthen critical decision-making, and develop a deeper understanding of coordination during natural disasters, public health crises, and large-scale incidents.
This new program will launch in 2026, with dates coming soon. Sign up below to receive updates and be the first to learn more!
